Welcome to WRHSAC’s Emergency Sheltering Position Specific Training

This training is designed to provide learners with knowledge about how to carry out their assigned responsibilities in an emergency shelter. The training is built on WRHSAC’s Regional Emergency Shelter Plan, Regional Standard Operating Guide and Job Action Sheets.

Each lesson is built for a specific job position, with the exception of the All Staff Training which should be taken by everyone, ideally before taking the specific job position training. Scroll through the modules to find your specific position. If you are filling numerous positions, take all the modules that apply.

Once you open the module, insert your name at the beginning of the module when asked. When you complete the module, you will be able to print a certificate to provide to your supervisor. You may also print the documents that are embedded in the training as PDFs for ease of use.

It is recommended that all Branch Supervisors should take every available module in their Branch. The Shelter Supervisor should take every module.

Each module course length is approximately 10 to 20 minutes depending on the module.
